it was recommended that i rent a bike to cruise the sites….one of the best days i have had in a long time. got me a female powder blue beach cruiser (see photo above) and hit up all the historic national mall sights. the vietnam memorial was the most touching for me by far, it got my lip quivering as i was smacked upside the head with humility for all those names and people that have died for our freedom…yes! let freedom ring!!!
i made it to all the major national mall sights within the 4 hours i had, i will have to visit arlington when i return with the wife someday – that and the holocaust museum.
saw a glimpse of NAG and Hirshorn.
DC’s a place i’d love to return with the mrs, pay my respects again, and spend more that 4 hours.
